The falchion class escort is a product of the Voss forge world, it provides an alternative to the Sword class escort common to many other Imperial Battlefleets. Sword class frigates are heavily armed for their size, and a squadron of them can use their mobility to attack enemy capital ships from the rear where they are safe from counter-attack. any battlegroup of size will include at least one of squadron of these versatile vessels. Sword class frigates form the mainstay of the Imperial Gothic Sector escort divisions.
